ac

A couple of years ago I had to undergo a test that involved drinking a liquid the night before. I had to mix powder with water in a half-gallon jug. This liquid was not pleasant to drink. The idea was that I had to finish it over specific period of time. I felt like I wanted to hurl each time I drank it. That’s about all I want to get into concerning this event. Not to worry, I did fine with the test.

acrylic on canvas, 5" x 5"

My painting, this time, begins with the color of the wall in the area of the hospital where I was tested. I then added dots to depict the powder going into the water of the liquid I had to consume. Even when mixed this concoction had a thick texture.

Actually the powder was white and the liquid it made was a clear watery jello-like consistency. It tasted awful.

  3. Ugh. This post actually made me think of my own, horrible drink experience at a hospital years ago. I like the painting, but could do w/o the reminder. *L*

Thank you. I'm glad you like the painting. : )

Fortunately the other paintings in this bunch are generally more upbeat. I still have a few more to finish.

  5. Hi Mo! I think my hubby had to have that same test you are referring to. It was a bit of an ordeal indeed! I'm glad the test came out all right for you.

I like the painting, but I think I'd rather make up my own story to go with it--ha ha! :D

Actually, the colors remind me of dime store candy wrappers like SweetTarts or something and the powder reminds me of some of those pixy stix sugar filled paper tubes the kids like sometimes. :)

I hope you are having a good week, my friend.

    Thank you. : D

I'm always more interested what others bring to my artwork. So go right ahead and tell me what you see.

This week has been eventful. On Monday my upgrade to CS4 arrived and on Tuesday my upgrade to iLife ’09 arrived. Wednesday night I attended a free video workshop. Tonight I attend a free screening of “New in Town.” Saturday I’m participating in the Art Market of New Orleans at Palmer Park. Anyway, I have a lot of new software to learn.
