On my last night in Memphis I went with a friend, and a couple of her friends, to a restaurant called Yia Yia’s Euro Bistro. It was one place I had not tried yet. The colors in this painting are from the colors of the inside décor – including mosaic tile work. We had a fun evening.

Reminiscent of the African savannas to me, for probably obvious reasons. I love the warmth here.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't my original intent to make it that way. I did notice a leopard pattern happening as I finished it.

I'm not sure what to really say about this, other than great job. It looks great. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteNot just the obvious leopard/cheetah pattern, though. Zebras are suggested in the black & white areas. Fields of waving grasses (with stalking lions in them,) live in the golden tans.
