Greek Code

  1. I sat there trying to decipher the code thinking I was the one to do it...then I realized that I had read the title wrong...I thought it said Geek Code. No wonder I couldn't figure it out.

  2. The pieces were named using the Greek alphabet. Some of them sold before I took this photo. The pieces pictured are: Alpha, Gamma, Delta, Epsilon, Zeta, Theta, Kappa, Lambda, Mu, Nu, Omicron, Pi and Rho. In 2002 I was reacting to the obsession with the "code paranoia" at the time. There was concern about codes embedded in images, e-mail and so on. Also, the nation's alert color code was introduced. And last, I had seen "Enigma" which concerns British efforts to break Hitler's code. It's merely an excuse to name my pieces once I did them.

  3. "Enigma" was a movie made in 2001 . . . just a clarification.

  4. The page desgin was one of the standard design offerings. It was a natural fit for my work.
